kasey said i needed to blog... i said im not a blogger. But i guess ill show what i have been working on. I cant show all because many are presents and i fear the recipient may see them! cough cough KASEY!

I know its not Christmas yet but..

it took awhile and made a huge mess! oh i have not shown are new place yet... its tiny to say the least.. i was laying on my bed when i took this picture, yes thats my kitchen table.

but the final project turned out sooo cute, rag quilt stockings i love em! im thinking of making more for future little Christensens. I saw these in a fabric store that had a class on how to make them... pay for a class ya right! so i had Kirk draw up a stocking pattern and went to work making it up along the way!

Amongst the craziness of March (5 midterms in a week, apply for the nursing program and a new job for kirk) we were able to make this ^ i LOVE it, and only 50 bucks- way cheaper and cuter then 200 bucks at hobby lobby- plus mine is bigger and my favorite color (the bottom picture is what the color really looks like) plus also im debating about adding hook on the sides or such as. I mean what girl wouldn't love a HUGE mirror- actually i think kirk spends more time in front of it then me.. i just wish i had a good place to put it. we cant wait to move. Im so glad that i have a handy man, we have LOTS of projects to get started but no room for the finished masterpieces. Kirk is not to excited but i have been inspired by "knock off wood" - check out her blog she is in my friends list there is so many cute things i cant wait to start! I am also excited to learn how to sew! I have soo much i want to make.. i dont know where we will find the time to accomplish all the things on my list... but im determined!

thanks to my pathophysiology and microbiology and biology classes my life is wreck. i have contracted or experienced colon rectum cancer, sickle cell disease, simple cell carcinoma, asthma, heart attach also become somewhat of a germaphobe. thought the worst yet has be ileus. you dont even want to know what kirks gotten. Im not worried though, my teacher she/he (yes she used to be a he) says its perfectly normal.

I don't know why i do it. every semester the same. work my self up. cant sleep. cant eat. but they all turn out perfect in the end, after the tears and stress is gone. im trying not to get to worked up this time and today went well.. to say the least very smooth. The only thing different about this one is THIS IS THE ONE. the one where i have to get a finger print clearance card. the one where i must be CPR certified. the one i have to get shots. the one i have to take THE TEST. the one where i have to wait months to know if i made it. to know if all that i have worked so hard for has paid off. the only thing that makes me think i can do it is i don't need my classes this semester to apply so technically i can get C's and it wont effect anything but my pride. And we all know I am not gonna be able to let me self do that. Its a pleasant thought though. Hello Spring 2010 i greet you with apprehension and determination.
- on another note: i love the weather and wish it would keep on raining. its relaxing.

This whole month has been go go go. it started of with the end of the semester, meaning finals. Then an hour after my last and hardest final we were on the plane to Hawaii for a week! It was so much fun ( except the six hour delay in San Diego) !!! we went to the beach everyday, ate weird fruits, shopped, tanned, went to water falls, snorkled and saw turtles, a mana ray, and a octopus, and the reason why we went-kasey and suli's wedding. it was the best way to end a semester. the wedding was beautiful, kasey was so pretty, suli was a stud in his brown suit, the weather was perfect and the food was great! i got to follow them around and keep kasey touched up and help them with their pictures. our very last day kirk got to FINALLY do what he was longing to... go surfing. he did pretty good with out knowing what to do! he caught a few waves and loved it. the best part was when he rented the his board and was walking back to the group he had the biggest grin on his face it was so cute! after a long flight through the night with 2 hours of sleep we got home did a load of laundry and headed to Snowflake. it was a shock from going to 80 degree weather to snow! we were not in the Christmas spirit our entire trip because it was too weird to listen to christmas music with our swim suits on! but we snapped back quickly and had a wonderful Christmas! now kirk is back to work and i have tell the 19th tell classes start.

i love our little Christmas tress its ALMOST 5 ft tall (ok more like 4- we had to go small so it would fit in the back seat of our car! plus also we are not going to be here for Christmas anyway) we had so much fun with all of Kirks family hunting and cutting down the best trees in the forest.

( yes i know im a day early but i think that's just how we are... just like presents, we give them early just to each other- not like were impatient or anything... just how we are.)

1. remember catching millions of little frogs and keeping them in your pool
2. remember making necklaces out of the plastic key chains we made
3. remember freezing pumpkin guts and the itchy balls from the tree
4. remember drawing on your walls with glow in the dark crayons
5. remember being Miss America for Halloween
6. remember being cheer leaders for Halloween
7. remember spring break at California

The Monster Mash

This weekend kirk and I had so much fun! we started off carving our pumpkins with Kendra, Randy and Ruthie. Every year i forget how long it takes, I grew impatient so kirk had to help finish mine but they turned out pretty good i must say. oh and we made the best pumpkin seeds ever!!

Ruthie would not stick her hand in so we tried using force but she still would not budge!

Next we got to watch Ruthie. It was Kendra's Birthday and they were going out on the town so we got to have a sleep over! she is the funniest little girl we love her so much! but she only loves kirk, She would only come to me when kirk was teasing her and late that night when she woke up. We had so much fun with her !

Finally we went over to Kirks bother Jacobs house on Halloween for a party. we had to throw together last minute costums... kirk became and inmate and i went gangsta (and looked like a boy!)

3 months and 2 days

yes its true we have been married for 3 months! its going by so fast, kirk is busy working at his new job doing auto glass (again) and im just being a nerd (literally). Midterms are officially over! i think kirk is more excited then i am. we spent all one Saturday studying (8 hr. straight) i think it about drove him crazy because he wanted to be with me but he had to be quiet (which is very hard for a Christensen) by that evening he was bouncing of the walls longing for fresh air and movement. He did how ever finish my blanket. im proud to say my mans knows how to crochet. its huge, brown and warm and i LOVE it. im glad he FINALLY got it done! this last weekend we got to go home for Kolton and Sarah's wedding! it was beautiful and we had to much fun. we had a hard time leaving and heading back to our busy lives. I honestly cant wait for the holidays to get here its what i look forward and it gets me through school!! im so excited to go to Polacca for thanksgiving, to cut down Christmas trees, to go to Hawaii for Kasey's wedding and of coarse for all the food and goodies the holidays bring ( eggnog, everything pumpkin, Grandpa Hoots biscuits and gravy etc..) oh and of course SNOW! i hope we get a lot and that we get a chance to go snow boarding! happy fall (yes even to you mom i know how much you love it)

so today i visited my academic council for a routine "check- up" and learn something i wish i had known before I started my first semester of college ( i would have done things allot different) heck knowing this the beginning of this semester would have made life a whole lot easier. come to find out my high school math credits that were not "high" enough (as told by a different councilor) for the level of math i needed (142) for the nursing program are in fact higher then the math i needed to take (they come in at a 152 level).MEANING i did not need to take math which i did last semester. MEANING i am a class ahead. MEANING i can apply to the nursing program next semester if i take 2 hard classes (+2 normal). MEANING to take these two classes together i actually have to petition the college of nursing at ASU for permission to take them at the same time (ya there that hard) - MEANING i have to fill out forms and write a "plea". talk about ANNOYING but honestly i am glad i visited a competent councilor who actually knew what he was talking about. I am really going to do it ( as of now it might just be the anger talking) it will be one crazy semester but worth it in the end ( not only in time but also money i guess that is where the sweet comes in). so i know this isnt very clear and makes little sense what it comes down to is if i would have known this earlier i would have taken different classes so i would not have to have a semsester like the one that lies ahead of me now. it would have made life simpler. but ya gotta do what ya gotta do right??? its ok though because i know kirk loves me and will support me through the blood and tears. i mean who else would shave an R in their chest? that is LOVE

being grown up isnt half as fun as growing up

i am no longer a teenager! this weekend was so much fun. it started off with a bunch of my friends going to lunch Friday at cheese cake factory. i felt like an old lady doing lunch with her friends but we had a blast i miss everyone so much! then when Kirk got off work we headed home to Snowflake. Instead of going camping we decided to just stop on the rim and have a fire and cook tin foil dinners (my favorite). Saturday we were busy helping Kirks family with stuff around the house then later that evening had a cook out for my birthday. I was so excited my dad made me a cake like he did when we were little and peanut butter oreo ice cream! it was sooo cute!! he is the best! then we stayed up late watching movies. It was soo nice to get away for a weekend but now were back in reality, working and studying, and being happy.

haha so i know this looks out of place but i finaly found my digital camra when we were in snowflake and i had some pictures on it i forgot about. i was in the process of picking out my dress and Raegan wanted to try some on too! so we played dress up! it was soo fun!!

oh we have plans for this ( but not a allot of room). so i confess I'm obsessed with going thrift store shopping (we go every other weekend for half off days.. or i just go when I'm bored) my next piece of furniture is going to be a book case.

I discovered some bad news the other day and its a good thing i did or i would have been in trouble! i have to add an extra class to my already HARD schedule to be ready to apply to the upper division and stay on track.. So today i went to a councilor to get my schedule figured out and found out all that i need to be doing and was told my only good news. They changed the dead line from December to May for applications for the upper division which includes: GPA of 13 required classes, shot records, finger print clearance, CPR certification, and the NET test (well actually we no longer take the NET its another new test but i cant remember what its called. This was also learned from my visit). So although i have to take another class i don't have to be worrying about all that stuff tell my much easier next semester! GO DEVILS

As for the wedding we were married on July 24th in the snowflake temple. i cant wait to get my wedding pictures and ones from the reception to show off not only because Mrs. Kate lines is a wonderful photographer but because i loved my reception it was gorgeous everything turned out perfect! we were so lucky we didnt get rained out!
